If I feel uncomfortable, I will take this bath. Especially now during the cold season, this pleasant, soothing form of relaxation is recommended.
With few ingredients and without having to buy an expensive bath additive in the pharmacy, it can be produced quickly and easily.
What you need is:
2 teaspoons dried thyme herb
teacup
sieve
boiling water
Give the thyme herb into the teacup and pour the boiling water over it. Let it steep for 15 minutes before you sieve off the herb. Pour this tea extract into the bath water and enjoy the bath.
Optionally you can add some salt or sodium bicarbonate to the water.
Good to know:
I like to take the bath in the evening before going to sleep. This way you can enjoy the cozy warm feeling longer and it makes me sleep better.
The vapors of the thyme also open the clogged noses, if that is the case.
The herb can also be prepared and drunk as a tea. Then 1-3 g herb per cup is recommended. It has a good effect on bronchitis and catarrh of the upper airways.
The bath also helps with joint problems, as it has a blood circulation stimulating effect.
Thyme comes from the Greek “thymos” and means courage and strength. In ancient Italy warriors bathed their injured bodies in the herbal bath and in the Middle Ages the ladies embroidered dried thyme herbs in the knights’ dresses to protect them.
If you do not feel an improvement after 2-3 days, you should see your doctor.
